We Push For Bill C-48 Committee to Meet Western Canadians Face-To-Face

At the Senate’s Internal Economy Committee, Deputy Chair Senator Denise Batters raises serious concerns about the Senate’s Transport Committee travelling only to B.C. to study the Trudeau Government’s Bill C-48 (the anti-west coast tanker bill) — leaving out Alberta and Saskatchewan, which are so dramatically impacted by this legislation, given the importance of the oil industry in those two provinces.

Her fellow Conservative Senate colleagues Scott Tannas and Don Plett support her stance. However, in a rare move, Trudeau “Independent” and Liberal senators purport to be concerned about cost — and force through this major omission.
