Trudeau Government is All Talk, No Action on Mental Health Funding

The Trudeau Government has a track record of overpromising and underdelivering. In Mental Illness Awareness Week, I asked Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland why she chose to break her government’s 2021 election promise to fund the Canada Mental Health Transfer in the last two fiscal years, and in her budget last spring.

Liberal Promise = $875 million should have been delivered by this fiscal year.
Liberal Reality? NOT ONE RED CENT.

Even the Finance Minister can’t explain why mental health funding isn’t a priority for the Trudeau Cabinet when it comes to budget time.
