Trudeau Government Didn’t Consult Privacy Commissioner on Cybersecurity Bill C-26 and Now This Bill Has a Big Flaw
The Trudeau Government did not even consult the Privacy Commissioner about their Cybersecurity Act, Bill C-26!
At the Senate’s Security and Defence Committee, I tried to amend Bill C-26 to correct a big flaw: The Privacy Commissioner must be notified about sizeable cybersecurity incidents so he can ensure that Canadians’ privacy rights are protected.
