My Bill C-9 Senate Opposition critic’s speech (Judges Act amendments on disciplinary process)
Last week, I gave my Bill C-9 Opposition critic’s 2nd Reading speech in the Senate Chamber.
Bill C-9 (Judges Act amendments) aims to modernize our federal judiciary’s disciplinary process.
(Note: this new process won’t apply to Supreme Court of Canada Justice Brown’s case, as Bill C-9 is not yet law.)
Bill C-9 has now been sent to the Senate Legal Committee, and I look forward to studying it further there, and having our important questions answered by the Trudeau Government.
