Minister Fails to Stand Up for Alberta & Energy Industry on Awful Bill C69

In Senate Question Period, Senator Denise Batters challenges Trudeau’s Natural Resources Minister on the Anti-Pipeline Bill C-69. This unfixable government bill intrudes on provincial jurisdiction, setting up even more potential federal-provincial court battles. Senator Batters also questions why Minister Sohi isn’t standing up for his home province of Alberta or the energy industry at the Trudeau Government Cabinet table.

In his two minute answer, Min. Sohi only utters the word “pipelines” once, and doesn’t even try to defend his government’s terrible Bill C-69 — which was the subject of Senator Batters’s question.
