Mark Henick actually struggled with mental illness & he thinks excluding it from MAID preserves hope
During the Senate Legal Committee’s study of the Trudeau Government’s assisted suicide Bill C-7, we’ve heard some presentations from “experts” – professors and lawyers with ivory tower, theoretical ideas – stating that excluding mental illness from assisted suicide eligibility is discriminatory and stigmatizing.
Mark Henick disagrees. He has actually struggled with mental illness, and survived a serious suicide attempt. He is now an outstanding mental health advocate who has helped so many people. Mark believes excluding mental illness from assisted suicide eligibility preserves hope for those suffering.
