“Independent” Sen. Bills Taxpayers $15K for Political Poll: This Breaks Rules!

Trudeau-appointed “Independent” Senator Donna Dasko billed a $15,000 political poll to taxpayers. As Deputy Chair of the Senate’s Internal Economy committee, Senator Denise Batters insisted the full Internal Economy committee examine this expense. Sen. Batters thinks it breaks Senate rules, and as such, Sen. Dasko should pay this money back.

This poll tried to justify Trudeau’s Fake “Independent” Senate, which as we know now is #NotAsAdvertised.

Watch Senator Batters argue at the Senate’s Internal Economy Committee (during the Committee’s second discussion of this expense) that this political push poll clearly breaks the Senate’s rules, and that Senator Dasko should repay this money. This clip shows Sen. Batters’ two interventions at this meeting. Then, Sen. Batters calls for a recorded vote on this expense. 10 senators who are members of CIBA voted to direct the Senate to pay this expense (including all of the “Independent” and Liberal senators on the committee), and 5 Conservative senators (including Sen. Batters) voted against payment of this expense by the Senate.
