Assisted Suicide Bill Gives Vulnerable Canadians Easier Access to Death than Supports for Living

The Trudeau Government’s Bill C-7 expands assisted suicide to people who are suffering intolerably but are not near death. This will have devastating effects on vulnerable people in Canada, including persons with disabilities, Black and racialized Canadians, Indigenous Peoples, and people living in poverty, who may face barriers to accessing proper health care and social supports. Bill C-7 will make it easier for vulnerable Canadians to access death than the help they need to LIVE.
