“All in the Family”: Another Ethically-Challenged Trudeau Appointment
BREAKING: Two hours after my Senate QP questions, Minister Dominic LeBlanc’s sister-in-law stepped down as Interim Ethics Commissioner. Coincidence??
I asked: In the middle of the Beijing interference and Trudeau Foundation scandal, the Trudeau Cabinet appointed the sister-in-law of senior Trudeau Minister Dominic LeBlanc as the Interim Ethics Commissioner. You can’t even enter the Tim Horton’s “Roll Up the Rim to Win” contest if you’re the family member of an employee. So, in what world is it appropriate that the sister-in-law of a senior Trudeau minister can snag this plum government appointment to judge the ethical infractions of her brother-in-law’s closest circle?
I asked the Trudeau Government’s Senate Leader in this Question Period exchange.
