430-page Budget Bill with Wide-Ranging Criminal Law Changes is Just More #TrudeauTransparency

In the 2015 federal election, the Trudeau Liberals promised to not use huge omnibus bills to avoid scrutiny. Yet, they are ramming through wide-ranging criminal law changes in a 430-page omnibus Budget Implementation Act (Bill C-47), including seizure of digital assets (like virtual currency), the power to search mail parcels and changing the criminal interest rate. I asked Trudeau’s Justice Minister Lametti: why not bring these measures through Parliament as individual bills, so we can study them properly and make needed changes? His response? Not my decision, not my problem! Sounds like more #TrudeauTransparency!
