The Senate recently approved an amendment on the Trudeau Government’s assisted suicide Bill C-7 from Senator Mobina Jaffer. It would require the collection of race-based data in the administration of MAiD.
Assisted suicide will harm vulnerable people, including Indigenous peoples and Black and racialized Canadians.
Senator Denise Batters asks: Rather than collecting data on how many vulnerable people die by MAiD, why not stop Bill C-7 and instead help them LIVE?
