Marijuana Law Is #JustNotReady: Watch His Appointed Salesman Prove It

Senator Denise Batters challenges the Trudeau government’s appointed salesman for the marijuana legalization bill, MP Bill Blair, at the Senate’s Legal committee. With his refusal to answer key questions about this legislation, he proves that the Trudeau government’s marijuana laws are just not ready.

Senator Batters asks why the Trudeau government is taking away a key law enforcement tool with this legislation. With the Liberal government allowing home cultivation in their marijuana legalization law, it will be significantly more difficult for police to obtain the grounds necessary to conduct a search of a home, which may contain a massive marijuana grow-op. Even when pressed, Mr. Blair refuses to answer this important question. This raises real concerns about the ability of law enforcement to effectively prosecute illegal black market marijuana grow ops under this legislation.
