Voter Turnout Up in Last Election?

Senator Denise Batters questions Elections Canada Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand on his previous testimony that the Conservative Government’s electoral changes would lead to reduced voter turnout at election time. Mr. Mayrand testified that, in fact, voter turnout INCREASED significantly in the 2015 election. Mr. Mayrand appeared before the Senate Legal Affairs Committee regarding his report entitled “An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election”.
